Things we need to change - Feedback from class

We watched all the films last week and got feedback from the whole class. We are now reading all the feedbacks/comments and what is most apparent is the sound in our coursework as many if not all the comments was about the sound. We need to work more on the sound and tweak a few more things such as (things from our feedback) fixing sound affects e.g: the scream at the end. The diagetic/ non-diagetic sounds needs to flow (some are unnecessary). At times there was no sound and then sound suddenly came into it.

In the half term holiday,we came in and finished the last part that needed to be finished. We have finished adding all the music and all the sound effects that we wanted. We did this through the use of garage band. Overall we are happy with our finished project.

We have completed our film opening however, we didn't add much music as we couldn't use garageband due to time.

Evaluation Shamima and Sabina

After watching our coursework we realized that we need to make a few changes. We need more closeups as we have lots of long shots and haven't captured the emotions of the main character and we need to re-shoot some important scenes. So in the half term we will come in and re-shoot the conference room scene again and the smooth zoom of the hand on the floor. Also we need to cut down our film as it is over 2 minutes and we need it to be 2 minutes exactly.

11/2/2010 What we have done so far.

We have progressed far with our coursework and have done two edits, however we have realized some scenes may need to be re-filmed. So far this is what we have done

Update on our coursework

We have finished editing our coursework and now we have added some music using garage band for the credits in the film. All we have left to do now is add some music/sound in the film for suspense. However we have found out that we haven't used any closeups of the main character to show emotions. So now we have to re-shoot the conference room scene again. This will be done over the half-term holidays.

Today we finished editing our coursework. We are doing two edits and we have finished our one. All is left to do now is put in the music/sounds. Today after school we are going to learn how to use garage band and then apply our own composed music to our course work. Next lesson every thing should be finished and ready to submit.

Time extended to edit

Due to the fact that the previous 3 media lessons had been canceled, we have more time to edit. We've had a minor setback and therefore must get the editing completed by Tuesday's lesson, 09/02/2010. However we have started to film and have progressed far.

Filming finally finished

We have completed our filming and now we have started to edit. Soon inshallah, we will make two different versions as we have split our group in two and we will do the edit in pairs.

What we're going to do today

Today after school we are going to re-film a short scene in the conference room. we are going to film after school, because it is the only time when the conference room is free, and we booked it out then as well.

Third time filming

We stayed after school on Thursday and it was around 4.35 when we started filming. We had to wait till it got more dark.then we started filming. It went well as we finished the car park scene fully.

What we did today

Today we filmed the establishing shot of the school for our film. We also booked out the conference room for Friday (tomorrow) to film the rest of the conference room scene. Today after 4.00pm we are going to start filming the car park scene and hopefully finish that part off the coursework.

What we did today

Today we filmed practice shots for the rest of the scenes for our course work and saw what would look better. We came back and looked over the things we filmed and saw the mistakes that we made and how we could improve them. Next lesson on thursday we are going to film the rest of the coursework insha allah.

What we did today -First day of filming

Today was the first day at filming for our coursework. We filmed just one of our scene today (scene 2) and learnt a lot. We made a couple of mistakes that need to be undone in the next day we film which will be on Tuesday. All in all the day went good as we have one scene that we could use in the coursework as it looks appropriate and very good. The biggest mistake we made was that we were too obvious with the clock and we placed the clock in an area that was easily noticeable and therefore made it too blatant to the viewers.

What we did today

Today we finished our shoot schedule, that was the only thing we needed to finish. Now we are ready to film next lesson, which will be Thursday.

What we did last lesson

We finished writing our script and started on our schedule. We also decided on what the main actor would be wearing, the colour e.c.t... Also we got everyone's contact details.
