The genre that we decided on is 'THRILLER'.
Normally thrillers would involve sudden plot twists and makes people unsure and guessing what is going to happen next. It creates suspence and can get almost unbearable.
The generic conventions of a thriller usaully involve

>> Guns
>> Blood
>> Violence
>> Victim - women, child, step father
>> Death
>> Vengeance
>> Bad Weather
>> Isolated Suburb Area
>> Large Empty House
>> Evening/Night Time
>> Abnormal Activities
>> Chases
>> Unexpectedness
There are different types of thrillers. Theres horror thrillers like: Saw, Final Destination etc...
Theres also action thrillers such as James Bond, Die Hard etc...
Thrillers are seen because its exciting and it gives the audience an adrenalin rush from seeing things that dont normally happen in real/every day life.
